This weekend sees the final round of the Iberian Supercars Series from Estoril in Portugal which sees one Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 crew very much in contention for a class win at the end.
Having raced previous at Portimao and Jarama before a prolonged summer break before resuming racing activity at Jerez about over a month ago, this weekend’s finale sees at least thirty-four cars entered for the final two races.
The #007 Araujo Competicao Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 of Alvaro Ramos and Fernando Soares stand just a couple of points shy of grasping the GTX crown after a dominant inaugural year with their brightly coloured car whilst this round also sees two further Vantage GT4’s entered by the Racar Motorsport team.
Whilst in Jerez, the #777 car entered the GT4B class, this weekend sees that car revert to the same GTX class as the #007 with Ruben Vaquinhas behind the wheel whilst their new #83 entry of Francisco Cruz and Pedro Perino enter the GT4 Pro class.
Track action begins on Friday with Free Practice before Qualifying on Saturday and two forty- five minute races on Sunday to see their season out.
