89X now flying the AMR flag in a much depleted GT America showing at Sebring this weekend

Between this round and the previous one from the Circuit of the Americas three weeks ago, there have been a couple of changes within the Aston Martin Racing powered ranks as one crew steps across from the GT America Series to that of the GT4 America Series with another AMR crew taking their slot within the former series.
At Cota, the GT America Series has just the #39 Van Der Steur AMR Vantage GT4 of Max Hewitt within its GT3/INV and GT4 entries but Hewitt and the team have elected to take a brave step up the GT ladder by swapping over to the silver class within the bigger and more competitive GT4 America Series for the first time.
With the former karter stepping up to the GT4 platform for the first time this year, the competition for the young American just hasn’t been there this season with as few as three GT4’s being entered this season.
Whilst he pushes himself to the ‘enth degree, his place within the series has now been taken up by the #89 AMR Vantage GT4 of Mike Fitzpatrick and his 89X Motorsport team having dabbled quite successfully within series such as the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Series and the World Racing League with their 17A variants of the Vantage.
Even so, this fourth-round event of the 2025 season sees just nine entries so far committed to it with just six GT3 cars (after the withdrawal of the Flying Lizard Motorsport BMW entry), one INV GT3 car and two GT4’s for their two forty-minute, solo driven races.
