Mirage Racing score a double race win in FFSA GT4 at Spa Francorchamps

Double pole positions gained earlier at Spa Francorchamps were more than equalled within the days later opening race of the FFSA GT4 Series after the Mirage Racing Aston Martin Racing pair of Vantage GT4’s scored class wins in both Pro-Am and Am classes.

Racing what is the first half of their third round to the season today saw the #7 crew of Stanislav Safronov and Aleksandr Vaintrub better their front row start to this evenings hour long race to grab an overall race win at the end.

All was not straightforward, however, as the race came to a premature end after two cars tangled going down the hill to Eau Rouge for the first time with a red flag being required to clean up the track wide debris field.

Getting back to racing little before the start of the pit window saw Safronov and Jodie Sloss hand over their cars from second within their respective classes for the final dash to the flag within the diminishing light.

Despite crossing the line still second on track to the #10 CMR Ginetta, the #7 Mirage car was awarded both the overall race and Pro-Am class win along with that of the #5 crew of Sloss and David Levy who claimed top honours within their Am class.

The crews go again tomorrow.
