Rounding off this weekend’s Aston Martin Racing powered customer and Partner team racing activities (as far as we are aware) will be the European based GT Cup Series who will be concluding their 2025 season with another dose of sprint and endurance races around Balatan Park in Hungary.

Within what appears to be a reduced entry for this finale compared to earlier rounds will be the #73 Janik Motorsport AMR Vantage GT4 Evo that Petr Koukola will be racing solo within the two twenty-five-minute sprint races before pairing up again with team boss Vaclav Janik for the sixty minute plus one lap endurance round.

 

The central and eastern Europe based GT Cup Series also race out their penultimate round to their 2025 season this weekend as they visit Brno in the Czech Republic for another dose of sprint and endurance-based GT racing this weekend.

For this fifth round to the season, the Janik Motorsport Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 Evo pairing of Petr Koukola and Vaclav Janik will again be in attendance with their #73 car as the former will again take on the solo driven sprint rounds with Janik (or both) competing within the longer endurance race.

 

It’s back to the Slovakia Ring next weekend for the GT Cup Series as they host their two sprint and one endurance races at the circuit as part of their fifth round of the season.

Within an expected mixed class entry list of up to twenty-six cars per race type with the #73 Janik Motorsport Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 Evo of both Petr Koukola and Vaclav Janik who will again compete within both race types with Koukola expected to race the two sprint races individually.

 

Friday saw the Janik Motorsport team continue their GT Cup Series success with another endurance race class win for the Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 Evo.

This time racing at the Lausitzring at the end of a back-to-back race weekend last time out where the #73 car of Vaclav Janik and Petr Koukola secured a GT4 class P2 result at the end of that race within a race format from the Slovakia ring.

 

The two series operating with very similar names are both back in action this weekend as the former European ESET Cup – now called the GT Cup Series is back in action from the Slovakia Ring whilst the UK based GT Cup Championship is also back in action, this time from Snetterton.

For the European based series, this will be their second round of the season which will again see the Czech based Janik Motorsport Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 Evo within their expected fourteen strong multi-class entry for what is listed as a three-hour round.

Another of Aston Martin Racing’s new Vantage GT4 Evo’s will make its racing debut this weekend within the renames GT Cup Series (nee ESET Cup Series) starting at the Red Bull Ring for the Czech based Janik Motorsport team.

It’s been a long time since their mid-February launch when the unveiled their latest GT weapon of choice and we final have some more detail as to who and where they will be racing it.

Starting a seven round season this weekend, the #73 Janik Motorsport ACCR Czech Team entry for Jan Matyas and Vaclav Janik will be competing within both the Sprint and Endurance rounds within a sizeable grid of over twenty cars within each race format over the weekend.

Friday track action will be limited to testing before moving into Free Practice and Qualifying on Saturday morning before the hour-long endurance round later in the day before two twenty-five-minute sprint races either side of lunch on Sunday.
