Nearly two years to the day since we first saw the car race compete with its new owner, the former Motionsport Aston Martin Racing V12 Vantage GT3 remains on offer via RaceCarsDirect.com from its owner, Peter Storey.

The car first saw competitive action with the MP Motorsport team in British GT in 2014 before Storey bought the car ready for their entry in the Liqui-Moly 12Hr of Bathurst back in 2015 and later the Spa 24.

Aston Vantage GT3 Chassis #24, which Motionsport only ran in 2015 in the Bathurst 12 hr race, with previous running in 2014 in British GT with MP Motorsport. It's got a great endurance spec on it, including:

Carbon Seat
Endurance lights
Endurance Brakes, Fuel tank, Quick Fill oil and water.
Highest level of data logging availble inc oil and fuel Level, Damper pots etc..
Rear view camera fitted
Seat net fitted

And comes with a variety of spares, spare wheels and so on.

Perusing through the classified ads as is sometimes the trend on dark winter evenings you would be  surprised as to what you would find on offer on one race car site! The trouble it that it sometimes raises more questions than it answers.

Checking through Racecarsdirect.com  you would be somewhat spoilt for choice with Craft Bamboo racing offering both of their V12 Vantage GT3 used in 2015 to great effect by claiming the 2015 GT Asia Series title with Darryl O'Young. Details available here and here.


Scrolling down a few pages you'd also be reunited with images of the Motionsport V12 Vantage GT3 used at last years Liqui-Moly 12Hrs at Bathurst. It's sad to realise though that that that squad will not be out again in that car somewhere in the world. Detail found here.

Over in the GT4 category it appears that Academy Motorsport is also selling one of their V8 Vantage's as used in the 2015 British GT Championship. Despite the car being brand new at the start of 2015 this sale might just be part of a 'cunning plan' for 2016, a fact intimated by the team on social media prior to Christmas. What that plan is - we will leave it to them to announce!

Fresh on the heals of their sterling result in their first GT3 outing at the 12Hrs of Bathurst last month, Motionsport have confirmed their Pro-Am Cup entry for the Spa 24Hrs at the end of July with their ex. MP Motorsport Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3.

An indicative driver line up of Gordon Sheddon, Pete Storey, Ben Gower plus a fourth and as yet unidentified driver has been muted. If you believe what you see on social media this could be an opportunity for someone like Ollie Chadwick who we know has racing links with the team.

Between then and now we will also see the car entered into the Aston Martin Festival at the 24hours of Le Mans in June.

Some of the guys at Motionsport are today experiencing a very soggy shakedown test at Silverstone of their very recently acquired (ex MP Motorsport) Aston Martin V12 Vantage in readiness for the Bathurst 12hr.

According to MP Motorsports Facebook page the car was exchanged only on Friday 21st November so timescales are already getting tight for the team to gain car experience and to have it shipped out in readiness for the event in early February 2015.


This news obviously also confirms the MP Motorsport are indeed moving onto pastures new having listed for sale both of their GT3 Vantages in early October. The team have yet to announce any official plan for 2015 but it has been noted that one or two of the drivers may/may not have been seen testing with the likes of …………..!! (I would be unfare to say anything specific at this stage)
