PROsport Racing success at latest 12hour round of the NLS around the Nordschliefe
Running two full season NLS crews aboard their #13 AMR Vantage GT3 and #176 Vantage GT4 cars, their third car was a little more of a mix and match after late drivers changes were forced onto the team left the team’s ‘resident’ driver coach Nico Verdonck as a late entry into their #175 car alongside Celia Martin and Guillaume Dumarey (the reason for Emil Heyerdahl’s withdrawal is unclear).
With some of the foulest weather about around the circuit could throw at the some - one hundred and fifty runners, at least these three Aston Martins were able to take the start of Saturday’s opening six-hour portion of the race before Parc Ferme conditions were imposed overnight before the concluding half of the race today.
Eventually finishing earlier today, the full season #17 Vantage GT3 came home second within their GT3 (SP9) Pro-Am class in second with the one off #175 Vantage GT4 entry also coming home second within their SP10 class whilst the sister full season #176 car coming home sixth in class.
Despite their full season status, both cars have either skipped or failed to finish enough rounds of the NLS Series for them not to be in any Championship contention.

Mixed results for PROsport Racing at six hour round of the NLS
This time being a six-hour race as opposed to the customary four hours, the one hundred and twenty-four car entry was blessed again with the presence of two Aston Martin Racing cars from the locally based PROsport Racing team.
Being a longer race, each car featured a bolstered driver line up with Christoph Breuer joining the more established line up Jean Glorieux and Maxime Dumarey aboard the teams #17 SP9 Pro-Am class entered AMR Vantage GT3 whilst Simon Balcaen again joined the team with their 176 SP10 (GT4) entered car of Guido Dumarey and Emil Heyerdahl.
With Heyerdahl claiming class pole position during the days earlier qualifying session, hopes were again high for another success round of the formerly named VLN Series, but trouble was to later strike the #17 car down just after the halfway stage for reasons still as yet unknown.
Fortunately, the #176 wasn’t so misfortunate and would later come home third overall in their class.

Great AMR customer racing success from the Nordschleife at the weekend
Congratulations and commiserations to the seven Aston Martin Racing powered teams who took part in last weekend’s ADAC Total 24H Rennen from the infamous and notorious Nurburgring Nordschleife.
Six AMR Vantage GT4’s fielded by the PROsport Racing and Doer Motorsport teams came away with podium success in both the SP10 (for GT4) and SP8T (for enhanced GT4 based cars) classes by the end of another punishing twenty-four-hour race where again, the circuit proved to be a cruel mistress.
On the positive note, the #95 Doer Motorsport crew of Phil Dorr, Nick Hancke, Moritz Wiskirohen and Indy Dontjie came away with a class win in the SP8T class with the team’s sister #150 car of Michael Funke, Rolf Scheibner, Peter Posavao and Christian Gebhardt finishing close behind on track and in class to make for a team 1-2 in class.
Then in the GT4 class of SP10, the locally based PROsport Racing team and their #82 car of Christoph Breuer, Alex Mies, Mike David Ortmann and Miklas Born secured an overall class P2 finish despite having led the class for much of the race. They in turn were supported with a P3 in class finish by the #69 Doer Motorsport car of Dierk Moller, Frank Wiesner, Stefan Kenntemich and Finn Albig to round off that podium for the Aston Martin Racing runners.
With the #81 PROsport AMR Vantage GT4 of Guido Dumarey, Alex Walker, Yevgen Sokolovskiy and Michael Hess finishing the race but down in P100 overall and sixth in class, the only non-finishes were the #80 PROsport Racing AMR Vantage GT8R crew of Maxime Dumarey, Guillaume Dumarey, Jean Glorieux and Simon Balcaen who suffered terminal technical issues within their car during the early hours of Sunday morning that that of the #90 TF Sport AMR Vantage GT3 of Nicki Thiim, Marco Sorenson, David Pittard and Maxime Martin
There, the team and car took many by surprise, converting their P25 starting position and the misfortune of others into an early overall race lead, well within the first hour and to hold onto that lead until just before midnight. There, Thiim sadly had no chance in avoiding oil and debris left on track by a car ahead and exited both the track and the race with a heavy side on impact with the armco barrier. Fortunately, Thiim was shaken up, extremely disappointed but otherwise OK but their race was run.
Either way, these results again show that the Aston Martin Racing Vantage race platform is still one to be reckoned with as many of these teams and drivers will be in action again this weekend as the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup and GT4 European Series visit Paul Ricard.

Good luck to this weekends ADAC Total N24 Aston Martin Racing powered teams and drivers
The #90 TF Sport entered AMR Vantage GT3 is the sole AMR representation within the topflight SP9 class and features a full Pro driver line up as the team and AMR continue along the quest originally set out by former Amr President David King to snatch this pinnacle of GT3 achievement from that of the German sportscar manufacturers.
One car is all they have but then, only one car can win at the end of the day and drivers Nicki Thiim, Marco Sorensen, Maxime Martin and David Pittard have all the credential to be able to do so despite their somewhat unexpected P25 Qualifying position (although last night’s results list says P26?).
In GT4, the available SP10 and SP8T classes (for enhanced GT4 cars) are well represented with both the PROsport Racing and Doer Motorsport teams fielding three cars apiece with a Vantage GT8R featuring amongst the PROsport line up.
After Fridays Qualifying for them, both the #81 PROsport and #95 Doer cars took their respective class SP10 and SP8T class pole positions at a highest overall position of P51 on the grid of 134 cars with the closest Aston Martin still P82 overall.
