Early news from the 24H Series suggests that there may well be two more Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT3 entries for their next round from Spa Francorchamps to add to the full season AMR entry from the Spanish based E2P Racing team.

Both of the (potentially) new entries unsurprisingly come from the Belgian based Comtoyou Racing team who will presume Baly be adding this second twelve-hour round of the Creventic lead series as driver and team preparation for their now many 2026 AMR powered efforts.

 

We saw the Belgian based team field two such entries within the Dubai 24 a couple of years ago and also listed one such car at the corresponding round at Spa just last year but that entry failed to materialise within the race.

So, and whilst this is good news in itself, we do need to treat this with that proverbial pinch of salt too at the moment as a clearer entry list will not be released until just before the race in just under three weeks’ time.

Two Aston Martin Racing powered crews this time grace the grid of Spa Francorchamps this weekend as the Creventic ran 24H Series hosts its second round of their European Series at the Belgian circuit.

Last time out from Mugello a month ago saw the Spanish based E2P Racing run their first race within the series with their new Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT3 Evo until gearbox and transmission issues arising after returning to the track after an innocuous looking spin off in the wet saw the #90 eventually withdrawn from the race.

 

Now confirmed by the series but the Belgian based Comtoyou Racing team have today expanded again their 2025 racing programme with an envisaged two car entry within the German DTM Series.

Having pushed their limits of endurance with their then fleet of four new Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT3 Evo’s last season, today’s news sees the Jean-Michel Baert led team enter what is already their fourth series of 2025 after entries and confirmations already ran and made within the Dubai 24, GT Winter Series, GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup and now the headline German GT series.

 

Untimely sickness thwarted the Earl Bamber Motorsport’s second race attack at the 24H Series Middle East Trophy at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi at the weekend, forcing a late driver change onto the Asian based team.

Again, fielding their #77 Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT3 Evo for drivers Setiawan Santoso and brothers Mukong and Tanart Sathienthirakul after their series debut together just the weekend before at the Dubai 24, overnight sickness between Qualifying and race day for Thai TCR Asia racer Mukong meant that a late replacement had to be called in.

 

Many of the driver lists for this weekends second 24H Series double header event with their 6H of Abu Dhabi from the Yas Marina are now complete and promptly following on from last weekend’ anniversary edition of the Dubai 24, the Creventic ran series will welcome around fifty-four multi-classed entries for this comparatively short dash around the marina-based circuit.

 

The twentieth running of the 24H Series running of the Dubai 24 has just concluded and the race again did itself proud for the Creventic organisers and its sixty plus, multi-classed entries although it didn’t necessarily prove itself that way for some.

Indeed, one of the three Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT3 Evo’s entered didn’t actually make it to the race itself on Saturday morning after final night practice for the #41 Comtoyou Racing entry saw accident damage sustained whilst Russian driver Viacheslav Gutak was at the wheel. 

 

Qualifying is now done for tomorrows start to the opening race of 2025 as the 24H Series celebrate the twentieth running of their Dubai 24 event.

Fielding another impressive grid of sixty-four mixed class entries, this year’s entry sees three Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT3 Evo’s entered – two from the Belgian based Comtoyou Racing team and another from the Asian based Earl Bamber Motorsport team.

 Just a couple of additions to a couple of the three Aston Martin Racing vantage GT3 crews due to compete within the 24H series Dubai 24 which is due to commence with its first track sessions early next week.

Whilst the #40 Comtoyou Racing entry of Jamie Day, Tom Van Rompuy and Matisse Lismont remains as earlier confirmed, the sister #41 car has at least had the addition of one driver in young Russian Viacheslav Gutak. 

He comes with LMP3 experience within both the Michelin Le Mans Cup Series and Asian Le Mans Series bit obviously does still need the confirmation of at least two more drivers.

Then, within the #77 Earl Bamber Motorsport AMR entry, we see that team boss Earl Bamber himself is now listed alongside that of Setiawan Santoso and the Sathienthirakul brothers in their GT3 Pro-Am entry.

The first driver news ahead of next month’s visit to the Dubai 24 was announced by the 24H Series yesterday with two of the three Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT3’s getting a trio of names allocated to them leaving one with still TBC alongside its entry slot.

With the number of indeed names of car entries having fluctuated over recent weeks as proposals turned into realities, it appears that it will just be the Comtoyou Racing and Earl Bamber Motorsport teams representing the British brand at next month’s twentieth anniversary running of the event at the Dubai Autodrome.
