The #5 Mirage Racing Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 of David Levy and Jodie Sloss will apparently be flying the AMR flag solo after all this weekend as they have just been confirmed as the sole Vantage GT4 entry within this weekend’s FFSA GT4 opener from Nogaro.

Gone has their sister Pro-Am winning car of last season for drivers Stanislav Safronov and Aleksandre Vaintrub but still leaving a twenty-seven multi-classed entry across all classes (except for silver again) across six manufacturers.

 

Levy and Sloss were only recently confirmed as giving the French national GT4 series another go over the five round, ten one-hour long race season starting this Bank Holiday weekend in Nogaro.

 

Track action will begin on Saturday with two Free Practice session before moving onto both Qualifying and Race 1 on Sunday and Race 2 on Monday.

If the recent testing shots were also anything to go by – we expect a change to the previous livery colour scheme too.

A multiple incident race opening lap to the final race to the GT4 European Series hands the Pro-Am class Championship to the #7 Mirage Racing Aston Martin Racing pairing of Stanislav Safronov and Aleksandre Vaintrub after their nearest class rival was one of those cars affected.

Having defended a slender class lead into this final round of the season, race one’s Safety Car affected race at the Circuit de Catalunya didn’t exactly play out well for the #7 Vantage GT4 crew as their lowly P6 in class finish yesterday left them with it all to do today.

 

Forty-four crews of the GT4 European Series travel to the Circuit de Catalunya near Barcelona for this weekend’s final round of the Series with one Aston Martin Racing powered crew looking to add to another SRO Championship already won in their Pro-Am Class.

The French based Mirage Racing team return with their pair of crews but it will be all eyes on the #7 pairing of Stanislav Safronov and Aleksandre Vaintrub again as they look to continue after their championship win in the FFSA GT4 Series from Paul Ricard last weekend.

 

Another Aston Martin Racing powered crew raced onto to the growing list of 2025 Championship winning achievements as the French based Mirage Racing team celebrated secured the Pro-Am class championship at the final round of the FFSA GT4 Series yesterday.

Featuring another Vantage GT4 double entry within the French series, their #7 crew of Stanislav Safronov and Aleksandre Vaintrub made the best of their slight championship lead going into last weekend’s fifth and final round of the season from Paul Ricard to end their 2025 account in the best way possible with a P4 finish in race one before their season clinching race win in Sunday’s second and final race.

 

It’s the final round of the FFSA GT4 Series this weekend from the home of the organising SRO body at the Paul Ricard circuit in the south of France.

Like most of the season, 2025 has seen a more modest entry level compared to previous years with only the Am and Pro-Am class being available this time around.

 

A double Pro-Am class win at the Nurburgring this weekend was enough for the #7 Mirage Racing Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 pairing of Stanislav Safronov and Alexandre Vaintrub to leapfrog into the lead of the class as the GT4 European Series heads to Barcelona for the conclusion of their season next month.

A wet introduction into the race weekend was thankfully replaced with a clear and dry (albeit delayed for earlier kerb damage around the circuit) hour long race into Saturday evening after the #7 car had claimed its first overall pole position of the year.

Alongside them in the thirty-eight strong entry was the #39 Racing Spirit of Leman AMR of Clement Seyler who also secured pole in the silver class sentry that he shares with Baudouin Detout whist each sister car was further back in P9 for the #5 Mirage Racing car of Roberto Faria and Ruben Del Sarte and P23 for the #74 RSLM entry of David Kullmann and Will Orton.

For the latter crew, however, their race weekend abruptly ended between turns 1 and 2 as Kullmann was an apparent victim of secondary contact (maybe from the Ford Mustang that also stopped at the same position on track) to end their day early with front quarter damage whilst Orton’s best qualifying performance for race 2 in P4 never materialised thanks to a late electrical problem before the cars even assembled on the grid.

The #5 Mirage AMR of Faria would also be in the wars before they had even crossed the control line to start the race as the Brazilian jinxed out of line early to try and pass the overall championship leading Audi, only to make contact with the #3 car – effectively putting them both out of the race.

For the other two cars, by the end of the another highly eventful GT4 European Series the #7 Mirage held onto their Pro-Am class win finishing sixth overall whilst the #39 RSLM crew would have their best finish of the year finishing just off the overall (and class) podium in fourth.

Sunday’s finale was another strange bag of fortunes or misfortunes within the series as (already said) the #74 RSLM AMR failed to make the race again whilst the other three crews had to start from the midst of the pack with the #5 Mirage car being the best of the three starting from P10.

Not without its own incidents and accidents again, the start to the race was at least a much cleaner affair with the remaining participants allowed to settle down into their own rhythm. However, it was again only the #7 car that pushed through for any class recognition by the end as they left it late to make the final pass on track to take their second class win of the day down in P11 overall whilst the remaining silver class crews finished P12 for the #39 car and P14 in silver for the #5 crew.

Safronov and Vaintrub now take a slender 8 points margin into the final races of the season in Barcelona in mid-October.

Supporting the GT World Challenge Europe Series again this weekend from the Nurburgring will be the GT4 European Series and its expected forty plus entry including those four full season cars from the Mirage Racing and Racing Spirit of Leman Aston Martin Racing entries.

Like the GTWCE series before it, successes over the four rounds so far from Paul Ricard, Zandvoort, Spa Francorchamps and most recently Misano has been dependent upon which of the two classed these four AMR’s have been competing in.

 

A trio of third placed class finishes was the reward for the two Mirage Racing Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 Evo crews at the end of last weekend’s fourth round of the French FFSA GT4 Serie from Magny-Cours.

Racing with a car apiece within both the Pro-Am and Am classes saw the #7 Pro-Am entry of Stanislav Safronov and Aleksandr Vaintrub slightly stall on their championship aspirations after they struggled to recover from their lower-than-expected P7 overall qualifying position ahead of Saturdays into the night opening race.

 

Supporting the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup Series from Magny-Cours this weekend will be the small but perfectly formed grid of the French based FFSA GT4 Series and their expected fourteen strong Am and Pro-Am runners.

Racing what will be their fourth round of a six-round season, both Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 Evo entries from the French based Mirage Racing team will again be in action as Pro-Am runners Stanislav Safronov and Aleksandr Vaintrub go again within their #7 car whilst Am class runners David Levy and Jodie Sloss do likewise within their #5 car.

 

Like the British GT Championship Aston Martin Racing powered runners before it, it was a near mirror image of their earlier results for the two Mirage Racing AMR Vantage GT4 runners today as the French series saw out its third round of the season from Spa Francorchamps.

Saturday’s hour-long opener has seen the #7 Mirage Racing AMR of Stanislav Safronov and Aleksandr Vaintrub snatch the overall race win after the #10 car that finished before it had been blacked flagged earlier in the race.

 

Double pole positions gained earlier at Spa Francorchamps were more than equalled within the days later opening race of the FFSA GT4 Series after the Mirage Racing Aston Martin Racing pair of Vantage GT4’s scored class wins in both Pro-Am and Am classes.

Racing what is the first half of their third round to the season today saw the #7 crew of Stanislav Safronov and Aleksandr Vaintrub better their front row start to this evenings hour long race to grab an overall race win at the end.

 

Sadly, with no ad-hoc Aston Martin Racing powered entries within this weekend’s return to the track for the GT4 European Series, there will just be the four such full season entries from both the Mirage Racing and Racing Spirit of Leman racing at Spa Francorchamps.

Headlining at the Belgian circuit in build up to the Spa 24 hours, forty-four suitably driven GT4 crews will be racing what will be their third round of the season after its season opener from Paul Ricard in mid-April before moving onto the coastal dunes circuit of Zandvoort last time out in mid-May.

 

Supporting the start of Speedweek alongside the British GT Championship from Spa Francorchamps this weekend will be the French based FFSA GT4 Series and their modest twenty car entry for their third round of the season.

Since scaling back from including a silver graded class within their otherwise Pro-Am and Am classes at the end of last season, entry numbers have obviously fallen slightly as the faster grade of driver was forced to look elsewhere in Europe.

 

A similar number of GT4 race cars will support the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup Series at Zandvoort as the GT4 European Series also runs its second round of the 2025 season with an expected forty-three strong grid.

Within their midst, four Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4’s will be racing from both the Mirage Racing and Racing Spirit of Leman teams for their mainly silver and one Pro-Am classed crews.

 

It proved itself to be a good weekend for the solo Aston Martin Racing powered team competing within the second round of the FFSA GT4 Series from Dijon-Prenois.

This time competing under clear blue skies and brilliant sunshine, both the French based Mirage Racing team’s two Vantage GT4 crews went onto secure further class success with a double class podium visit for their #5 Am class entry of FFSA Academy entrants David Levy and Jodie Sloss at the end of the weekend’s two, hour long races.
