New horizons for HEXIS Racing AMR: the 2010 FIA GT1 World Championship

Saturday, August 01, 2009

French team HEXIS Racing AMR is pleased to announce that it intends to take part in the new FIA GT1 World Championship next season.

At the start of April, SRO (Stéphane Ratel Organisation) announced its plans for a GT1 World Championship. The FIA subsequently confirmed that this new series would be starting in 2010. Aston Martin Racing declared that it will be actively encouraging independent teams to enter this new topgrade category.

HEXIS Racing AMR is of course in close contact with these players. The Lédenon-based outfit has been racing Aston Martins in the European FIA GT3 Championship since 2007. At the mid-way point of the season the team from South-East France currently tops the team standings and its two crews are in first and second places in the driver standings. HEXIS Racing AMR is also racing an Aston Martin in the FIA GT championship in 2009, winning its first GT2 podium place at Oschersleben in what was only its second outing.

Through its participation in the 2010 FIA GT1 World Championship HEXIS Racing AMR aims to further
consolidate its partnership with Aston Martin Racing.
