Villois Racing: DBRS9 and Vantage for 2010 GT Open
Saturday, April 10, 2010
Villois Racing has confirmed its driver line-ups for the 2010 International GT Open, which will see the team continue their journey in the GTS class (and defend the team title achieved in 2009) with its usual DBRS9. Gabriele Lancieri will continue as in the first car, which he will share with Angelo Lancelotti. The second car will be in the hands of a father-son duo, Gianandrea and Enrico Crespi.
But the big news in Cuneo team will jump into the SuperGT category, in which they will field a brand new V8 Vantage GT2. Their pilots will be the Lucas Guerrero Valencia and the Italian Max Wiser who finished second overall in 2009.
“We are proud to defend the colors of Aston Martin in the International GT Open and to be able to add the GT2 program to our GT3 campaign,” said team boss Chicco Villois. “It is a big step for a small and young team like ours, but we like racing and challenges!
“It is only very recently that we were able to make all the necessary deals for the Vantage, so we are working full-steam ahead. In the first two events, we will have a car from Prodrive and ours will be ready for Imola.”
