More success for Craft Bamboo in Korea

Sunday, May 17, 2015

Following on from the successes of its sister car yesterday in Race 1 it was the turn today of the #99 VLT sponsored Craft Bamboo Racing Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 to revel in the spoils of a commanding lights to flag victory in Race 2

Starting from pole the #99 car of Jonathon Venter established a commanding lead of several seconds even on the opening lap only to be hauled back by the Safety Car that was required whilst the #1 Clearwater Ferrari was recovered from a start line tangle on the pit straight.

With yesterdays winning #37 Ferrari keeping the #99 honest until the pit stops it then fell to Darryl O'Young to continue the good work of the AMR Evolution Academy driver, Venter in maintaining their track position.

That he was able to do eventually crossing the line with a nine second advantage over the chasing pack.  The #88 was to suffer its own little gremlins during the race that would prevent Richard Lyons from picking up any places having taken over from FrankYu. The were to finish down in P7.

The series now moves on to races 3 and 4 at the Okayama International circuit in Japan at the end of June.
