More good Aston Martin Racing customer team news from North America

Great to see the continued threads from new and returning Aston Martin Racing customer teams revealing their plans ahead of the 2021 season with two such teams committing to full season each of GT4 racing in North America.

On the new side, this week saw the Dexter Racing team announce a single AMR Vantage GT4 for their new campaign within the SRO GT4 America Series with an as yet unidentified driver line up.

We did hear talk of this team entering the Series with an Aston Martin last year but nothing more was heard from them – presumably because available chassis were at something of a premium at that time with the Prodrive factory in the UK working overtime to meets its already bulging order book for the new variant of race car.

For 2021, we understand that the team has secured one of Team Virage’s two GT4 cars from Spain which that team raced periodically in series such as the GT4 South Europe and GT Open Cup.

To accompany this news, we have also learned that the Notlad Racing with Rennsport 1 duo of Joe (Matt) Dalton and Pat Gallagher will again reunite for yet another year together in motor racing with their distinctly liveried AMR Vantage GT4 that they will also compete with in the GT4 America Series next season.

Not only that but their red, white and black homage to the late, Eddie Van Halen AMR GT4 will also be present at the opening round of the 2021 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge at Daytona in early January next year for their season opening four-hour endurance race.

The duo spent a race weekend at the Daytona International Speedway earlier this month competing in the final round of the International GT Series with their #33 car.

Dalton also suggested that they will be looking to compete in one or two other longer races within the IMSA MPC season.

News from these teams bring the tally up to three Aston Martin cars already confirmed for the 2021 GT4 America Series with at least two cars confirmed for the opening round of the 2021 IMSA Championship that itself starts in less than a month’s time – but there is still more to come on both fronts!!!
