Hot on the heals of TF Sports announcement earlier today confirming their return to the World Endurance Championship with another GTE Am entry with Aston Martin Racing comes this news announced tonight.

Japanese team D’station Racing has joined forces with 2020 Le Mans Winner and Vice-Champions, TF Sport, for their debut in the 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship. Tomonobu Fujii will work alongside established team owner Tom Ferrier, to oversee the GTE Am project.

The #777 Aston Martin Vantage GTE will be shared by seasoned racing partners Tomonobu Fujii and Satoshi Hoshino, with the Silver driver, who will complete the WEC line-up, to be announced in due course.

TF Sport’s record of success with the Aston Martin GTE machinery, along with their knowledge of the championship, is a great foundation for D’station Racing to make their WEC debut. D’station Racing have strived to compete in the WEC since their inception and to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans is a lifelong ambition of Bronze driver, Mr Hoshino.

Tomonobu Fujii, Team Managing Director of D'station Racing - “I am very excited to announce our entry for the FIA World Endurance Championship and the 89th 24 Hours of Le Mans. Being able to compete in the FIA WEC has been a major goal for D'station Racing since its inauguration. As this project comes to fruition, I recall all the preparation we went through with Aston Martin, AMR, and Tom Ferrier from TF Sport. I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for their ongoing support.”

Following the triumphant win at the 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans, TF Sport looked at taking the next step up within the FIA World Endurance Championship, and running a two-car outfit was a positive way of progressing within the highest level of global GT racing.

The first round of the 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship will take place in Sebring, USA, on March 19.
