The #23 returns to the IMSA paddock but this time in disguise for Lime Rock!!

Friday, July 16, 2021

Last week we reported of the #23 Notlad Racing with RS1 Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 returning to the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge paddock for this weekend’s two-hour event at Lime Rock, but since then there has been more revelation.

Communicating today with Matt Dalton, he confirms that the #23 Notlad Racing AMR will indeed see out the 2021 IMSA season with drivers Pat Gallagher and Stevan McAleer whilst he continues to recuperate from the battering he sustained in his accident at VIR.

Dalton was originally scheduled to race in the MPC’s four-hour race at Watkins Glen but his accident put paid to that, and considering just how well Gallagher and McAleer did in that event by winning it, he has arranged for both drivers to continue in the IMSA paddock until the end of the year with the exception we believe of the round at Laguna Seca.

We also understand that Dalton will be sitting out the remainder of the season with a view of returning to the SRO GT4 America and GT America Series in the new year.

For that, we also have a beautifully reliveried Aston Martin to look out for at Lime Rock alongside the bright yellow Aston of Volt Racing.

Obviously, we wish them all well!
