More AMR Vantage GT3s than GT4s at this weekends 6hr NLS event

Wednesday, July 05, 2023

The Nurburgring Langstrecken Serie is back in action this weekend around the infamous Nordschliefe circuit in Germany, this time with a six-hour event to mark the fifth round of the 2023 season.

Scanning through the provisional entry list, we see three Aston Martin Racing powered teams return, two from the full season entries from the locally based Prosport Racing team and another from the ADAC GT4 Germany based Doer Motorsport team.

Bouyed by their class winning results of NLS4 back in mid-June, the #17 Prosport Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT3 car is again being driven by Maxime Dumarey and Mike David Ortmann within their SP9 Pro-Am class whilst we also get to see the return of the #24 Doer Motorsport AMR Vantage GT3 for the first time since the 24Hour at the circuit earlier last month.

Having been guided by AMR factory driver Darren Turner last time out, brother Phil and Ben Dorr return on their own for the endurance round of the series, again with the SP9 Pro class for their troubles and will be looking to finish having had their 24hour exploits ended with an incident during the night somewhere around the ‘Green Hell’.

The #176 Prosport AMR Vantage GT4 of Guido Dumarey and (this time) Yevgen Sokolovskiy round out the AMR trio again, again competing within their chosen SP10 class for true GT4 based OEM machinery. Last time out, this car finished P4 in class.
