Five Aston Martins to round off NLS season around the Green Hell of the Nordschleife

Wednesday, October 04, 2023

Hopefully this will not get lost under the tranche of Aston Martin IMSA/FIA WEC Valkyrie news that came out from both sides of the Atlantic earlier today, this weekend sees five Aston Martin Racing powered crews due to take part within the final round of the Nurburgring Langstrecken Serie.

Precisely the kind of teams also targeted within today’s news regarding the imminently expected arrival of the new Vantage GT3 and GT4 race car platforms, sees both the Doer Motorsport and Prosport Racing teams again enter both versions of the existing car for this weekend’s four-hour race.

Breaking the mould to what they have done up until now sees the locally based Prosport Racing team enter not one but two Vantage GT3 entries alongside their two Vantage GT4 crews alongside the solo Vantage GT3 entry from the Doer team.

The #24 Doer SP9 Pro class entry again sees brothers Ben and Phil Dorr return alongside that of AMR factory driver Darren Turner within their black menacingly looking car. Since swapping from the ADAC GT4 Germany Series to the NLS full time, the #24 car has enjoyed recent success in the series over recent events with both Turner or Nicki Thiim showing the youngsters the way.

They join another AMR Vantage GT3 Pro entry from the Prosport Racing team as Mike David Ortmann partners Nico Bastian within their #37 car as well as they usual #17 Pro-Am entry this time shared by Maxime Dumarey and Marek Bockmann.

On top of these we also have two Prosport Racing Vantage GT4’s, both competing within the SP10 class with the entry listing Hugo Sasse joining their female ADAC GT4 Germany crew of Fabienne Wohlwend and Celia Martin aboard the #175 whilst the #176 car will be driven by team regulars Guido Dumarey and Yevgen Sokolovskiy.

Hopefully, these guys will complete the season with some more silverware.
