Just one AMR powered podium finish after yesterday's return of the NLS

Featuring within the one hundred and twenty odd multi-classed entries for Saturday’s four-hour affair were again five Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT3 or (mainly) GT4 powered crews from the locally based Prosport Racing and Dorr Motorsport stables.
Whilst most of these were returning full season entrants, Prosport Racing were again offering the ‘experience’ of the NLS running around the Green Hell circuit for another two of its customer-based driver line ups.
The #17 AMR Vantage GT3 of Maxime Dumarey and Marek Bochmann were again the solo SP9 entry from either team and it turned out to be another trying experience for that crew as they fell out of the race after just seven laps within some very testing and adjusting track conditions.

It was the same for the #169 SP10 class entry from the Dorr team as Oskar Sandberg, Nick Wustenhagen and Aaron Wenisch driven car also fell out of contention with accident damage after just seven laps whilst their fellow SP10 entries within the #175 Prosport and #179 Dorr cars each finished the event P5 and P8 respectively in class.
The headline finish was however, left for the #140 SP8T Prosport Racing entry of Guido Dumarey and Harry Rice who eventually finished second overall within their enhanced GT4 SP8T class albeit two laps down to the class winning BMW M4 which included fellow Brit Jimmy Broadbent.
With just one round left to go in mid-November (if that ever gets to run) there is little more to race for Championship or class wise considering the points differences after this event.
