Following on from yesterday’s ACO rules announcements from at least part of the Aston Martin Racing powered contingent in both the World Endurance Championship and Asian Le Mans Series – todays sees further ACO rules AMR participation, this time within the European Le Mans Series supporting Michelin Le Mans Cup Series.

Last season we saw the Blackthorn AMR team eventually roll out two AMR Vantage GT3 cars (once the supply issues had been sorted out with the provision of the new Vantage GT3 Evo chassis and body parts) into the six round season which saw their best placed car eventually finish eighth in a championship class of eleven entries.

This season, we see Blackthorn AMR concentrate their early season efforts within the Asian Le Mans Series, but we can look forward to seeing a new team to Aston Martin take to the track within the series with their brand-new Vantage GT3 Evo as they step up and branch out from both the Alpine chassis and the GT4 European Series for the first time.

Amongst a combined LMP3 and GT3 grid of forty-four cars, the #11 Code Racing Development AMR has been confirmed with a class entry of just eight cars with young but highly talented gun in Bailey Voisin named so far as lead driver.

The opening round of the season will take place again in Barcelona in early April after the usual one-day Prologue test at the Circuit de Catalunya earlier in the week.
