This time racing at Valencia, the six AMR’s from the Araujo Competicao, Racar Motorsport and Gianfranco Motorsport teams could only manage a pair of class podium finishes between them after the two fifty-minute races.
The Pro class entered #77 Racar car of Roberto Faria and Mathieu Martins suffered the most effect as their P4 and P3 respective class finishes saw them now tied on points at the head of the drivers’ championship table with two rounds still remaining.
The #777 Gianfranco entry of Ruben Vaquinhas and Pedro Bastos Rezende had the best weekend by far as they won their Am Class in race one before backing that up with a further P2 finish in race two as they extend their championship lead to twenty-two points.
The only other podium finish was from the #78 Racar car of Henrique Oliveira and the young Luca Savu who claimed a P2 result within their Pro class in race one before failing to start in race two.
The penultimate round of the season will be from Jerez in late October.
