IMSA VP Racing Sportscar Challenge Series rounded off its 2025 season from Petit Le Mans

Joining the sole full season Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 of Frank DePew and his zebra liveried #72 car this time around was another one-off entry for Eric Zitza aboard one of Mike Fitzpatricks 89x AMR Vantage GT4’s for this final event.
Like most GT4 racing under the IMSA ruleset, there were again tow eventful forty-five-minute races over Thursday afternoon and Friday morning which originally saw a fine P4 finish in his GSX class finish for DePew, but later post-race scrutineering later found ‘Marty’ to be under its required base weight for which they were consigned to the back of the pack.
The #89 Aston Martin of Zitza unfortunately didn’t survive his first taste of the series to be bring his car home with him retiring from the race just after the half hour mark with it not to be seen again for this morning’s finale.
Depew meanwhile completed his series obligations with a P20 overall finish – P8 in class as he and his team prepared for the final round of the Michelin Pilot Challenge Series later in the day.
