Are you not salivating yet?
Thanks to the powers of social media (and a very obliging AMR factory driver today of course) we are beginning to catch a glimpse of some of the beauties that will take part in next weekends Aston Martin Racing Festival at Le Mans.
First we have the #007 car that the factory took to the Nordschleife earlier this year and so nearly came away with an upset for the native OEM manufacturers in the ADAC Zurich 24H.
Then we saw a photo of one of two Aston Martin DBR9 GT1 cars that are due to compete, this example actually driven by todays shakedown driver Darren Turner back in the day in 2007.
And slightly earlier this week, Sir Chris Hoy gave us a glimpse of the AMR Performance Centre entered V8 Vantage GT4 that he and former F1 driver Martin Brundle will share as he had a quick shakedown in it in Germany.
Its all getting rather exciting as on top of these we still have Vulcans, GTE's and a list of other GT3's and GT4's as long as your arm!!
Now who's got a paddock pass I can borrow ..............!?!?!?

An Aston Martin Valkyrie at Le Mans maybe?
In between the bubbly and small talk at last night's unveiling of the new Aston Martin Vantage road car and GTE, we broached the subject of the Aston Martin Racing Festival that will once again act as a support race at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June 2018.
Last run in 2015, that 45 minute race was unfortunately red flagged after an early incident involving a GT4 car left the barrier at Tertre Rouge seriously damaged just ahead of the start of the 24Hour race itself.
This year we understand that the 38 car grid of three years ago is expected to be matched or even beaten as scores of teams and owners already enquiring about the 2018 event.
Last night we learned that the provisional entry includes the delights of TWO Lola P1's, a number of DB9's and DBRS9's, several Aston Martin Vulcans and the usual Vantage GTE, GT3's and GT4's.
The news even went that bit further to include the potential of having the new Valkyrie hyper-car run at the head of the pack on the warm up lap!!!
Having already made some enquiries we understand that possible entries are coming in from the RoFGO Collection, The Racer Group, 22GT and from BeechdeanAMR.

AMR fest on the streets of Copenhagen
It appears that those in Copenhagen this weekend had a right feast of motor sport activity at their annual Historic Grand Prix event.
Including racing and displays from a whole range of race cars and series of various ages, it appears that they were also given a spectacle of everything old and new from Aston Martin Racing including the form of the older Young Driver AMR DB9 and the newer AMR Vantage Pro and Rapide with various things in between.
With not only Nicki Thiim and Marco Sorensen being on hand, they were also joined by Jan Struve and Jac Nellemann from Young Driver AMR (amongst others) to put on a display including a run in the YD AMR 2016 WEC GTE Pro winning car (or on every much like it). Danish squad, Massive Motorsport were also there but only in the Danish Touring Car running guise.
Thanks for all who posted photos and video of the event on-line
