Paul Drayson has been named the 2009 recipient of the United States Air Force Trophy. The Air Force Trophy, awarded for the best sporting performance of an Aston Martin in the United States, will be presented to Drayson and at a special Aston Martin Owner’s Club (AMOC) dinner on 9 October. The trophy, dating back to 1953, was donated by Major General Francis H. Griswold and the officers of the U.S. Air Force Headquarters, Ruislip, England and came to the USA in 1971.

Drayson Racing entered an Aston Martin Vantage GT2 in 2008 and part of the 2009 American Le Mans Series seasons. The team made the switch to the Lola Coupé with Judd Power beginning at Petit Le Mans and will campaign the LMP1 entry in the full 2010 ALMS season.
