Muscle Milk AMR: Full ALMS Season with Aston Martin

Muscle Milk Team CytoSport will compete in 2011 American Le Mans Series with the V12 powered Lola Aston Martin.

Now known as Muscle Milk AMR the team will enter the full ALMS season with Klaus Graf and Greg Pickett at the wheel. The one year deal will see Muscle Milk AMR receive considerable support from Aston Martin Racing with an engineer being embedded with the team and factory drivers made available if required. “I must say that AMR was very keen for the car to participate in what’s Aston Martin’s largest market in the world,” Pickett said speaking to SpeedTV.com “We wanted to have the same kind of partnership we had with Porsche, where they could provide support. It’s important for our brand and an absolutely important component in our decision making. We’re confident Aston Martin will do that in the kind of cooperative way.”

Muscle Milk AMR will receive the Lola Aston Martin later this week after a shakedown test by Aston Martin Racing factory driver Tomas Enge in the U.K. The team will then start their testing program including the Sebring ALMS winter test Feb 8-9
