Aston Martin Racing finish season with a Sprint

Tuesday, October 07, 2014

With the domestic racing season virtually over Aston Martin Racing today confirmed that in partnership with their customer team, Beechdean AMR, the now infamous blue and white ice cream liveried Vantage GT3 would be entered into the final two rounds of the Blancpain Sprint Series.

With the penultimate event tasking place at Zolder, Belgium on October 19th and then the series finale in Baku, Azerbaijan just two weeks later it should be a great opportunity for team stalwart Jonny Adam to showcase the V12 Vantage alongside non other than former F2 champion and recent GT convertee Andy Soucek.

Despite this being Soucek's first outing in an Aston Martin both Adam and Soucek have had previous outings in the Blancpain GT Series with Beechdean and ART McLaren respectively so their all Pro line up should put them in good stead against the series regulars.

Baku will also see them race against fellow British GT adversaries Trackspeed Racing.

"At Aston Martin Racing we work closely with our partner teams, like Beechdean AMR, and this enables us to embark on joint ventures like this" comments Team Principle John Gaw. "We are keen to have a works entry in the Blancpain Sprint Series and the SRO have been extremely co-operative and supportive in enabling us to get this entry together. We are also grateful to Beechdean AMR for its continued commitment to racing at the highest level"

We wish Scooby well in his extended european adventures.
