VLN returns to Nordschleife with two car AMR entry

Thursday, April 23, 2015

Just four weeks after those terrible scenes at the Flugplatz the VLN series returns to the Nordschleife for the DMV 4 Stunden Rennen VLN2 this weekend.

After careful consideration and with the implementation of suitable control measures the circuit and race organisers believe that they have done what is necessary to prevent any reoccurrence of last months terryfying incident for all attending the circuit but like most things - only time will tell.

Entering VLN2 on behalf of Aston Martin Racing will again be Darren Turner, Stefan Mucke and Pedro Lamy sharing the iconic SP9, blue and yellow Bilstein liveried V12 Vantage GT3 and in a change to VLN1 fellow factory drivers Richie Stanaway, Jonny Adam and Mathias Lauda this time move up from an AMR Test Centre V8 Vantage N430 GT4 to a 'full bodied' but possibly unliveried V12 Vantage GT3.

The first time back after something like this is always difficult and in that case we wish all those attending and participating a very enjoyable and safe weekend.
