TF Sport's full season International GT Open entry

Sunday, January 31, 2016

It was great to read today of a reported full season entry from Aston Martin Racing Partner team TF Sport into the 2016 International GT Open Series.

Having competed, with multi class podium finishes during the latter half of last season, both Euan Hankey and Salih Yoluk have again been quoted as being the driving line up for the Surrey based team with one of their 2016 updated V12 Vantage GT3's.

Team manager Tom Ferrier was quoted on the Int GT Open website as saying “Our entry comes off the back of the success we had during the latter half of the season, and we got a lot of enjoyment from competing in the GT Open with its relaxed format and high levels of competition. It will still be a learning year for Salih as part of a longer term development programme, but we will obviously try to get results and I believe we can start on a fairly strong footing once we’re up-to-speed in testing with our upgraded Aston Martins.”

The series seven event, two race format will visit some of Europe's 'traditional' circuits kicking off in Estoril in April after a winter test at Paul Ricard in early March. If they can maintain the momentum that they showed last year the Turkish/British Bronze and Silver rated duo should be in for a shout of the ProAm class championship.
