TRG-AMR Ready for More PWC Wins at Road America, Introduces Crowdstrike Car

Wednesday, June 22, 2016

This weekend, TRG-AMR is racing with three Aston Martin V8 Vantage cars at the beautiful Road America track. Derek DeBoer, Max Riddle, and George Kurtz are competing in GTS Class Rounds 11 & 12 of the Pirelli World Challenge in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. TRG has nearly 30 years of success at this road course, which is also one of the fastest permanent tracks in the USA.

Kurtz is joining the Aston Martin team in a boldly designed car themed after the company he co-founded, Crowdstrike. The Irvine, CA-based cybersecurity firm is technologically sophisticated, and given its recent involvement in stopping hackers from further infiltrating US political targets, is an ideal match for the quick, No. 04 Crowdstrike Aston Martin Vantage.

DeBoer is taking over the No.09 BRM Chronographes/Rebounderz Rohnert Park/Racing for Cancer/Pirata Della Strada/Simon Ward car for both races this weekend. After his most recent races in Canada, in which he was part of a 1-2 finish for both SprintX rounds, he’s amped and ready to continue his podium streak. He’s also running with special livery this weekend to honor Mason Gordon, an 11-year-old with inoperable brain cancer. Names of those who made donations will ride along on the “Mason’s Hope” logo on the wing of DeBoer’s Vantage.

Also returning to this track with goals of continuing his stellar winning streak is TRG regular, Max Riddle. The Canadian driver showed his best form at CTMP in May, earning a spot on the podium for all four races he competed in, and taking home a 1st-place trophy in three of those races. Riddle says that Road America is one of his favorite tracks, and that he’s excited to race in what is expected to be a very competitive No. 07 Adobe Road Winery, LaSalle Solutions Aston Martin V8 Vantage.

With a similar theme to Riddle’s black and red design, the gorgeous Crowdstrike car includes livery elements from all of the team’s sponsors, including longtime supporters LaSalle Solutions. This IT life-cycle management service and partner of Cisco will again invite a great group of guests to enjoy the TRG-AMR paddock hospitality all weekend long. Also on the car are new team sponsors, RingCentral, the cloud-based communications platform from Silicon Valley. The collective energy from all three of these tech companies in the paddock this season is just another example of why TRG-AMR is on the leading edge of motorsports hospitality, entertainment, and marketing at the racetrack.

This venue is a special one for team owner, Kevin Buckler, who first started racing here nearly 30 years ago. “In 1988, I had my first-ever track day here at Road America and I was hooked,” he said. “This place has so much history around it, and I love taking new and old friends to share it with them, year after year. This course is a TRG favorite, and we’ve had multiple poles, podiums – and of course, wins! We are so happy to have our friends from Crowdstrike and LaSalle joining us this weekend as well. Coming off of our success in Canada with three strong Aston Martins and three awesome drivers is a great way to return to Road America!”
