GT3 Le Mans Cup reconvenes for TF Sport

Monday, August 22, 2016

TF Sport are riding high in the Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup as the series reconvenes in the south of France at Circuit Paul Ricard for round four of the championship (26-28 August, 2016).

Euan Hankey and Salih Yoluc will be back behind the wheel of the #34 Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 entry as they continue to reign at the top of the Drivers’ Championship standings. With victory at Imola, a strong showing Le Mans and a podium last time out at the Red Bull Ring, the team enjoy a one-point lead at the head of the standings.

“We know we’re in a tight fight at the top of the table and we know it will be tough to beat our rivals, but we’re getting the results we deserve,” stated TF Sport Director, Tom Ferrier. “We deserved the podium in Austria, but we did lose a few points to our main rival and that’s something we need to turn around in France.

“Austria was a bit of an unknown as Euan and Salih had never raced there before and with no testing it was a tough weekend that gave us a decent result. At Ricard we’re aiming higher but you just never know what’s going to happen. We have expectations, we have a plan, but in racing you can never predict.

“In saying that, we’re in with a good shout and the aim is to retain the lead heading to Spa Francorchamps next month.”

Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup free practice gets underway on Friday 26 August at 11.20 CET, with a second session at 16.35. Qualifying takes place Saturday at 11.15, with the two-hour race itself at 17.15.
