Beechdean AMR Secure Second in British GT GT4 Championship

Bartholomew commented, “Everyone in the team did a great job this weekend. It just wasn't meant to be. But it is my debut season in British GT and I am only seventeen - so getting second and being Silver Cup Champion is still amazing. I've really enjoyed my first season in GT racing and have learnt a lot. I will be back.”

“Sunday was certainly tough to swallow”, said Aston Martin Racing factory driver Ross Gunn. “After qualifying on pole, Jack and I had reason to believe that it might be possible to take the title. Unfortunately, it didn’t pan out that way, but I have enjoyed 2016 and hope to be back next year.”
In the sister GT4 car, celebrity baker Paul Hollywood and BRDC Rising Star Jamie Chadwick finished their end of season with a 11th place finish, just outside the points scoring positions. Hollywood drove over the course of the first hour and was able to produce consistent lap times. Chadwick then proved known capabilities once more by making up places amongst the GT4 ranks and closing in on the cars ahead.

“I had a great race”, said a satisfied Hollywood. “Donington has always been a circuit I wanted to race - I finished which is a major tick. I can't wait to race again soon. Big thanks to Beechdean for giving me the opportunity to race.”

Chadwick stated, “It was great to be back in the Beechdean AMR team again at Donington - I was pleased with my stint and Paul did a great job for his first visit to the circuit. Hopefully we will race together again soon!”

Although British GT has reached the end of its season, it is certainly not the end of Beechdean AMR’s season. The team still have two more races remaining in The European Le Mans Series. Beechdean AMR are currently second in the title race and will face a fierce battle in Spa Francorchamps. With the race only two weeks away, the team are solely focused on preparing for the upcoming Belgium round.
