Eurasia AMR step up to new Blancpain GT Asia Series

Tuesday, December 20, 2016

A year after first announcing their return to the Aston Martin Racing brand, news has been released today that Eurasia Motorsport have finally tied a deal to race their new V12 Vantage GT3 - not in the Asian Le Man Series as first intended but in the inaugeral Blancpain GT Asia Series.

CMR Team by Eurasia, as they shall be known, will enter the single car into the six round series for Chinese driver James Cai and Malaysian Kenneth Lim as they both step up from their former Ferrari 458 Challenge that they raced in the GT Asia Series back in 2015.

This news comes as welcome relief having seen the last AMR car leave the Blancpain GT Series in Europe at the end of this year with the demise of the Motorbase/Oman Racing GT partnership.

The first race of the series starts in Sepang at the start of April 2017
