Gray takes first GT4 honours of 2018 at Albert Park

Thursday, March 22, 2018

Australian GT GT4 debutant Jeremy Gray certainly did things the 'hard way' at the opening round of the 2018 Australian GT Championship from Albert Park earlier today.

Racing his Bilstein suspension supported former Academy Motorsport Aston Martin Racing V8 Vantage GT4 on the national stage for the first time as part the Formula 1 support programme, Gray originally qualified his #67 car on provisional class pole in Q1 and was again the fastest GT4 in Q2 before being excluded for being adjudged as being under weight.

Despite having to start from the rear of the 30 car grid (and sadly without the benefit of any race footage being presently available) Gray went on to finish the first of a four sprint race programme over the weekend as the GT4 class winner in 23rd position overall.

The race finished two laps early under a Safety Car due to an earlier accident with a Ferrari GT3.
