Here's looking forward to tomorrows 24 Hours of Le Mans

Friday, June 14, 2019

With the that dreaded Balance of Performance again being tinkered with today, the eve of the 87th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, we would just like to wish both Aston Martin Racing and TF Sport the best and safest of races with the best of luck as all four cars go out looking to chase their dreams of standing on that top step of the podium on Sunday afternoon.

For the two GTE Pro cars, it has already been an incredible audition season for the new V8 turbo charged Vantage GTE having only started its FIA WEC racing life just over a year ago. Earlier this season we saw them claim their first class pole position in China before claiming their first class win in Belgium just last month. Now we have the car claiming its first LM24 pole position.

Then we have the successful normal aspirated Vantage GTE of Aston Martin Racing and TF Sport making its final appearance at the circuit before both crews move over to the 2019 turbo charged chassis for next season (which starts at Silverstone at the end of August 2019). The latter still having a great chance of snatching the GTE Am titles from Porsche and Ferrari if results and track performance go their way.

With the 24 Hour race being waved off at 15:00hrs (local) tomorrow, we would like to wish Nicki Thiim/Marco Sorensen/Darren Turner - Maxime Martin/Alex Lynn/Jonny Adam - Paul Dalla Lana/Pedro Lamy/Mathias Lauda and Salih Yuluc/Charlie Eastwood/Euan Hankey all the best for the race, have a safe race and thank you for what you have all achieved in this 'super-season'.

Hopefully, there will be some silverware for some of you come Sunday!!
