Australian GT eagerly awaits the new Aston Martin Racing GT3

It's great to see just how much the Australian GT Series is eagerly awaiting the imminent arrival of Tony Quinn's new Aston Martin Racing V8 Vantage GT3 into their domestic theatre of GT racing.

Taking collection of the car only last week from the Prodrive factory, the former owner of the Australian national GT organisation has seeking to tick off of few of his 'wish list' circuits in Europe with his new car before he ships it back to his now long term adopted home down under in time for the next round of the series next month.

Quinn and his M2 Competition team have employed the driving services of AMR factory driver Darren Turner for this weekends entry of the British GT Championship as the series pays their annual visit to the Spa Francorchamps circuit in Belgium.

Only recently was it reported that existing entrants into the Australian GT and Endurance Series had lobbied the series organisers about the dwindling numbers into each category after a very healthy showing last season. Hopefully AMR's new turbo charged race winner will help them bounce back into a more sustainable position especially now that the country has been earmarked for rounds of more international motorsport (Asian Le Mans Series).
