Congratulations to the Banbury home of all new Aston Martin Racing car production at their Prodrive facility who enjoyed their busiest year to date building (amongst others) AMR's latest turbo charged version of their Vantage platform.
Proudly claiming to have exceeded their previous yearly record by twelve units, Prodrive have confirmed today that a staggering seventy one new race cars passed through their doors during 2019, the year that saw the first full year of Vantage GT4 and GT3 customer car production.
Most of that volume has of course went to meet the huge international demand for the new Vantage GT3 and GT4 race cars with over twenty five examples of those being built within the first quarter of 2019 alone. Chassis counts for each GT3 and GT4 options have gone on to hit the twenty two and forty eight figure mark respectively by years end with the balance in numbers being met from Prodrive World Rallycross commitments as not all Vantage GT3's were constructed during 2019 as the first chassis' were raced at the Gulf 12hr in late 2018.
As previous reported, the USA is now the target market for AMR and its strategic partner CSJ Motorsport with a second Vantage GT3 chassis reportedly already or about to be dispatched to their new Partner team Heart Of Racing who now race in the IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship.
The numbers of Vantage GT4's going over to the States is also expected to increase on the six already reported as being over there for customers within both the IMSA and SRO series gradually confirm their 2020 racing commitments with AMR.
