Still at a loose end this weekend?

Wednesday, January 08, 2020

If staying in and watching live motorsport from either Dubai or Australia isn't you cup of tea (but if that is the case then you may need to have a strong word with yourself), then you could always pop down to the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham to see what Aston Martin Racing offerings are on display at this years Autosport International Show.

We know that at least one half of the 2019 British GT Championship GT3 Champion pairing of Graham Davidson and Jonny Adam will be at the show on both Friday and Saturday with the former definitely there to talk about his season's Championship winning achievements and what might be happening this season coming as well as having his 2019 TF Sport AMR Vantage GT3 on display as well.

Another iconic race car from the Aston Martin Racing family will be a 2008 DBR-9 GT1 that came fourth at Le Mans with drivers Heinz Harold Frentzen, Andrea Piccini and Karl Wendlinger at the wheel. This car is due to on display at the Le Mans eSport Series driver simulator stand.

We won't be there this year to check out on those race drivers with AMR ties to see what is lurking in the 'announcement queue' for this season but it is usual for the drivers like AMR factory drivers Darren Turner and Jonny Adam to also attend and speak on the main stage.

Trade only days start from tomorrow into Friday with public admission on both Saturday and Sunday.
