Nothing less than just sheer excitement can describe the prospect of FOUR new Aston Martin Racing V8 Vantage GT3's thundering around The Mountain at next months Bathurst 12hrs as the first provisional entry list is revealed today.

Last month, R-Motorsport introduced us to at least part of their new international driver line up aboard one of two AMR Vantage GT3's that they will be entering with their new tie in with Castrol whilst todays confirmation of entry also confirms TWO Garage 59 AMR Vantage GT3's enter the same event be it in different classes

The forty strong field for the opening round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge in early February will see Aston Martin compete against the ten other OEM GT manufacturers on a level playing of current GT3 machinery for the first time after R-Motorsport's near miss of an overall race win last year in their V12 Vantage GT3.

Both R-Motorsport cars will compete in the headline Class A Pro whilst one Garage 59 car will race in Class A Pro Am and the other in Class A Silver. The cars will hopefully be added to be the presence of Tony Quinns new AMR GT3 that could race in the supporting opening round of the Australian GT Championship although that is still to be confirmed.

No drivers in the three freshly announced AMR GT3 cars have yet been confirmed and entry levels may also increase due to the former round of the World Endurance Championship at Interlagos, Brasil being cancelled.
