Top 5 finish again for Heart of Racing at Laguna Seca

 

The Heart of Racing team put on a strong performance this weekend at the California race weekend, the penultimate round of the 2020 season. Ian James and Roman De Angelis finished the race in fourth, hot on the tails of another podium.

Qualifying this morning in sixth, James battled hard during his stint bringing the car up to fifth before handing over driving duties to De Angelis. De Angelis held onto fifth before dropping back to sixth after his first pit. Forever showing his impressive expertise, De Angelis was able to climb back to fifth and then made it to fourth before crossing the checkered, where he was closing in on second and third, but also having to defend from fifth. All this being done without the left mirror which was knocked off early in the race by another car.

Next up for the team is the final round of the season, the rescheduled Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Presented by Advance Auto Parts, hosted at the legendary Sebring International Raceway, November 11-14, 2020. The team will be joined once again by Aston Martin Factory Driver, Darren Turner.
