Despite what has appeared to be an already healthy flow of confirmations, the British GT Championship has only this week officially opened its entry ledger for their 2021 season that is due to kick off at Oulton Park again at the start of April.

The Beechdean AMR team were one of the first teams to confirm their full season undertaking within the Championship earlier in December when Andrew Howard confirmed the return of both his squad and the Jonny Adam to the team in time for the new season.

2020 GT4 Champion Jamie Caroline was also confirmed this week as the winner of the Sunnoco Fastest GT4 Driver Award to go alongside the overall GT4 crown that he and TF Sport co-driver Dan Vaughan won in style at the final round of the season at Silverstone.

Finally, the Championship has also confirmed this week that the 2021 season will now not feature a Media Day in advance of the opening round at Oulton Park. With COVID-19 still being a distinct threat to the sport in the UK, the Championship organisers have preferred to offer an official test ahead of each round rather than a Media Day that would, after all have had to be restricted in operation anyway due to the operational demands of the host circuit.

Hopefully, the flow of teams and drivers confirming their 2021 racing aspirations will continue.
