AGS Events Racing secure more European success at FFSA GT4 finale

Sunday, October 03, 2021

The 2021 FFSA GT4 Series has come to a natural conclusion this weekend with their final two races of the year around the Circuit Paul Ricard in the south of France and it’s been another astonishing story for the Nicolas Gomar lead team in only their second full year with the Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 platform.

Again running a dual SRO Series programme in both the French FFSA GT4 Series as well as the GT4 European Series, the four crews that have raced with the team in the Am, Pro-Am and Silver Cup classes of the French national GT4 series have achieved another set or results that any team would be proud but also (and perhaps more importantly) an overall class Championship win for the Silver Cup #007 crew of Valentin Hasse-Clot and Romain Leroux to shout about as well.

Having also achieved similar accolades in the GT4 European Series with the team and Theo Nouet last season, the young Parisian Hasse-Clot had again pinned his name to the board of ‘drivers to serious take notice of’.

Going onto the final round this weekend, the #007 crew only needed a handful of points from the opening night race of the weekend to secure their title and secure it they did in fine form with an overall P3 finish – P2 in class. That result went hand in hand with two more class podiums for both the #89 Pro-Am car of Gomar and Mike Parisy who finished second in class and another P3 Am class finish for the #161 crew of Christophe Carriere and Didier Dumaine.

Their season was sealed today in the most apt way possible with an overall race win for the #89 crew of Gomar/Parisy which takes their season results to an impressive tally of Silver Cup Drivers Champions, Silver Cup Team Champions, P3 in Am Class teams/drivers, P5 in Pro-Am teams and P7 in Pro-Am drivers.

We all know that winning any championship is difficult these days in any GT4 championship – such is their competitive nature that draws so many into these series.

AGS Events Racing, Valentin Hasse-Clot and Romain Leroux take a bow – well done – you’ve earned that!! And thank you from us for sharing the memories of these achievements along the way again via your social media channels.
