Racing One take their AMR convertees to race at Portimao in the GT Winter Series

It was something of a successful transition to an Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 for some at the weekend with the Racing One team as Christian and Moritz Gisy each competed in the GT Winter Series with their new race cars in Portugal.

Making use of the late winter sun and opportunity to test/race over a long weekend, the German pairing competed in the thirty-two strong, multi class event with a constant approach during the three races around the Autodromo Internacional Algarve circuit in Portimao.

Finishing P13 and P14 overall in race 1 (P3 and P4 in class) and P9 and P10 (P3 and P4 in class) during the opening two twenty-five-minute races, the pairing then competed their opening AMR race weekend slightly further back in P9 and P14 overall (P3 and P6 in class) after the longer forty-five-minute finale.

The team presently has four examples of the AMR Vantage GT4 within its workshops back home in Germany with possibly three of these cars earmarked for a GT4 European Series based race programme next season.
