Racing One take their new Vantage GT4's racing in Portugal this weekend

Just over a week ago from formally announcing their expansion in numbers with their Aston Martin Racing V8 Vantage GT4 fleet of race cars has the Racing One team over in Portugal this weekend for their drivers first competitive race aboard their latest acquisitions.

Announcing the arrival of two further Vantage GT4’s last month, taking their tally to four such cars, German based Racing One team will be out at the Autodromo Internacional Algarve racetrack near Portimao this weekend for the opening round of the GT Winter Series with drivers Christian and Moritz Gisy each taking out a new Aston Martin for some post/pre-season racing.

Having raced the team in one of their Audi R8 GT4’s in the GT4 European Series this season, Christian Gisy is no stranger to the competitive nature of modern GT4 series racing, but Moritz appears to be something of a novice so track time will be essential for him before next season.

Thirty-three multi-class GT cars now list in the provisional entry list in the first of a possible four round series running between December and March 2022.

The team’s two new cars were also apparently built up and shipped out from the Prodrive factory in the UK in just over two weeks in order to allow them to go testing before this weekends event.
