Street Art Racing at the GT Open Winter Series with both Aston Martins

Wednesday, March 16, 2022

The first day of the GT Open Winter Series was held today at the Circuit de Catalunya with two Aston Martin Racing cars from the Street Art Racing team complementing the fifteen-car entry.

Not a compulsory obligation for the entrants of both the GT Open for GT3 machinery and GT Open Cup for GT4 cars, it was one of each from the Belgium team as they got more track time in with their AMR Vantage race cars.

Their #007 Vantage GT4 crew of Julien Darras and Jahid Fazal-Karim has already been announced for the GT Open Cup Series but their Vantage GT3 line up has only had the name of Pascal Bachmann confirmed within their new art #007 car.

Today’s entry list confirms that British driver Jordan Witt has shared the car with Bachmann today but we are certainly not saying or suggesting that this will be their 2022 driver line up in the absence of any official team confirmation – it’s just that he tested with the team!

Ending the first day of a two-day test at the circuit, the team’s lap times were working in the right direction with Bachmann setting the fastest time within the #007 GT3 over Witt and Fazal-Karim all of the times within their GT4.

The second day of the official test continues tomorrow ahead of the opening round of the series at Estoril at the beginning of May for the GT3’s and the end of May for the GT4’s.
