Returning this year to the series with a two-car effort, the events earlier Free Practice and Pre-Qualifying sessions has seen their #95 Pro class entry of Nicki Thiim, Marco Sorenson and Maxime Martin finish sixth fastest in yesterday’s ninety-minute pre-Qualifying session with their #97 Gold Cup entry for Andrew Howard, Valentin Hasse-Clot and Theo Nouet finishing that session P17 overall, P4 in class and just half a second behind the then pace setting Mercedes AMG GT3.
The three individual Qualifying sessions this morning has seen the #95 positioned P8 on the grid ahead of this afternoon’s three-hour race, 0.3 of a second back from the pole setting Audi R8 with the #97 car P37 overall, P8 in class and just over a second back from their class pole setting Audi in P23.
New to GT3 racing this season, Nouet showed his immediate worth to the team having suffered a puncture during his Qualifying session (which was red flagged as a result of his incident and another car having stopped on track) to come back with a lap time capable of third in class at the time.

Having already seen the 48 cars from the GT4 European contest heavily for track space in their opening race yesterday, the 52 larger and faster cars from the GT World Challenge Europe Series will surely lead to some ‘heart in your mouth’ moments during the race.
The race begins at 15:00hrs local and is course streamed live and free upon the series social media pages.
