Six Aston Martin Vantage GT4 test at Oschersleben ahead of ADAC GT4 Germany season opener

Wednesday, April 06, 2022

The past two days have seen numerous team testing at the Oschersleben circuit in eastern Germany ahead of the official start of their ADAC GT4 Germany Series from that circuit beginning at the end of April.

Expecting a full season entry list of around thirty cars, this week’s Official Test saw twenty-seven of those take part in the two-day test with six Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 teams taking part. Whilst not taking the names of the driver crews that participated within the test as confirmation of any TBC slots, all AMR cars did test with two drivers per vehicle.

Two cars entered from the Prosport Racing team saw Hugo Sasse and Mike David-Ortmann in one with Yevgen Sokolovskiy possibly being partnered by Christopher Rohner in the other. As one of the team’s cars was badly damaged during the first race of the GT4 European Series last weekend, we don’t know if both were available to them this week.

The Dorr Motorsport team is the one with the biggest commitment AMR this season, this time fielding four Vantage GT4 cars instead of the one full season car of last year. As previously confirmed by the team, Nico Hantke/Simon Connor Primm, Ben Dorr/Romain Leroux and GT4 debutants Sandro/Juliano Holzem all tested with the team this week as well did Phil Dorr with Indy Dontjie. The latter partnership has not yet been confirmed by the team or series though!

One Aston that was missing was the Team Speed Monkeys AMR for their new pairing of Jakob Riegel and Dennis Richter after they participated in the recent DTM Trophy test at the Lausitzring earlier this week.

With track temperatures very low and wet in Germany this week, nothing can be taken from the track times entered over the two days.
