From the Stowe Circuit of Silverstone one side of last weekend to the Hockenheim circuit in Germany the next, has the German based Team Speed Monkeys out testing with their first of two Aston Martin Racing V8 Vantage GT4’s.

After a quick shakedown test at Silverstone last week, the teams ‘new’ Vantage GT4 was seen being transported down to the south coast ports in readiness for its part transformation into one of the teams very decorative cars that they will be entering into this seasons DTM Trophy Series that kicks off from the Lausitzring in about six weeks’ time.

At Hockenheim at the DTM Test today, we understand that this platform is the former #001 chassis as used by the Academy Motorsport team in the British GT Championship back in 2019 and after a quick upgrade back at the Prodrive facility in Banbury, has the car back out on the racetrack again.

We understand that the team second AMR will be a new chassis presently in production.

With other entries still in the pipeline for the team in other domestic series like the ADAC GT4 Germany Series, the team has already confirmed that solo drivers Jacob Riegel and Nick Hancke will compete within the DTM Trophy Series this season.
