Team Speed Monkeys try out the GTC Race Series at their finale at Hochenheim this weekend

Taking another step to one side from their more traditional DTM Trophy path, German based Team Speed Monkeys take two more interested parties around the Hockenheim circuit this weekend as they enter the final round of the GTC Race Series.

Last seen by us several years ago when we still had normally aspirated V12 Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT3 race cars still screaming around the various German circuits, winning the outright GTC titles in the process, this weekend has one of this team’s AMR Vantage GT4’s doing likewise with two potential customers for next season.

2021 Porsche Sports Club Champion Lorenz Stegmann is joined by Swiss former Renault Clio Central Europe race Antonio Citera for the various races that make up this series culminating in an hour long, pit stop punctuated race.

Whereas this appears to be the first time outside of more traditional German machinery for Stegmann, Citera tested the Aston Martin at Oschersleben when Paul Aural König was testing with the team for his GT4 European encounter.
