Two AMR crews support the new for 2023 Sportscar Challenge Series at Daytona

With all the excitement of seven Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4’s being seen due at the IMSA Roar before the 24 test at Daytona next weekend (and more due at the opening round itself the weekend after) we failed to notice the AMR entry within the new for 2023 Sportscar Challenge Series.

Having dropped the Prototype Challenge label and format at the end of last season in favour for a more amateur driver friendly Sportscar Challenge for both LMP3 and GT4 platforms, we see that we also have two AMR Vantage crews listed within the entry for that series which will run its two opening races of the year at the Roar.

Amongst an overall entry of twenty-four cars for the test – nine LMP3 and fifteen GT4’s within their described GSX class, we find that both Moisey Uretsky and Todd Coleman have elected to run a dual IMSA programme this season (certainly for Daytona at least although Uretsky has proclaimed himself to be a full season Michelin Pilot Challenge entry) in a series that now mirrors the successful GT America Series as ran by the SRO organisation.

Both teams have two AMR chassis available to them, with Uretsky having two cars since the midst of last season and with Coleman acquiring the former Manny Franco MPC car of last season as well as the platform that he and Conrad Grunewald will use in the main Michelin Pilot Challenge event for what may only be at selected IMSA events.

Further details will no doubt come out at the Roar test.
