Bullitt Racing indeed fly the solo AMR flag within the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup

Absence indeed makes the heart grow fonder as first we thought there were none, that just a solo twenty-four entry before today’s announcement from Bullitt Racing finally confirms a full season GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup Aston Martin Racing entry.

Last year, that mantle was held by the Beechdean AMR team with what started as a Gold and Pro class entries before descending into a Silver / Pro class entry for the blue ribband Spa 24. We all now know that that relationship with the series became futile with continuing beyond that point (such is the cut throat competitiveness of the series) that if you haven’t scored many points between the start until after Spa - then there is not a lot of point continuing, and that is what happened.

Today’s news however is more positive as the Spanish based team will headline for the AMR within the Endurance Cup rounds of the series with an all new, silver class line up that sees the young German, Jacob Riegel returns to the squad after his Asian Le Mans Series adventures with them earlier this year to partner the 2021 FFSA GT4 Champion Romain Leroux with Canadian GT World Challenge Europe racer Jeff Kingsley.

All three drivers come with somewhat limited GT3 experience (Kingsley possibly the most having raced a Mercedes AMG GT3 in the series last year) but none will be lacking in the enthusiasm department with the silver class always being strong and just as competitive as the full Pro class.

Including their already confirmed entry into the Spa 24, the #33 Bullitt Racing will join another capacity grid where many have already had seat time during the recent pre-season prologue test at Paul Ricard earlier this year.

The opening round to the 2023 will be from Monza in just three weeks’ time.
