Aston Martin powered success after latest round of NLS

Sunday, July 09, 2023

Saturday was a good day for the three Aston Martin Racing powered crews who competed within the latest round of the Nurburgring Langstrecken Serie.

This time running with two AMR Vantage GT3 and Vantage GT4 powered crews within the series SP9 and SP10 classes respectively, all such teams firstly completed their six-hour undertaking around infamous Green Hell, but with both GT3 crews finishing upon the podium.

Looking to repeat their class win within the SP9 Pro-Am class of NLS 4, the #17 Prosport Racing AMR entry of Maxime Dumarey and Mike David Ortmann line up remained unchanged whilst the returning Doer Motorsport entry saw their Ben and Phil Dorr driven #24 entry saw them run solo within the SP9 Pro class after previous assistance from AMR factory driver Darren Turner.

Like every race, to win it you first must be in it and that is precisely what both GT3 crews did with the #17 Prosport crew replicating their previous results of a SP9 Pro-Am class win – albeit within a class of just two cars (with a Ferrari 296 entry including former Northwest AMR FIA WEC driver Axcil Jefferies) whilst the #24 car came home in third within their Pro class entry of seven cars.

The #175 Proport Racing AMR Vantage GT4 (SP10) entry for Guido Dumarey and Yevgen Sokolovskiy also duplicated their NLS 4 result this weekend by coming home fourth in class.
