Two more events to round off another AMR kind of weekend

Two further race events round off the Aston Martin Racing powered customer and Partner team commitments this weekend with the return of the GT Open Series from the Paul Ricard circuit in southern France and a six-hour, non-championship round of the British Endurance Championship/Britcar series from Donington Park.

In France, the Belgian based Street Art Racing AMR team return for the fourth round of the series with team backer, Jahid Fazal-Karim returning to the driver’s seat of his #007 AMR Vantage GT3 that he shares with Pascal Bachman.

Having had to miss the last two rounds of the series to prior engagements, his position was taken by the South African Xolile Letlaka as he enjoyed the virtues of both Spa Francorchamps and the Hungaroring for the first time.

Also at Paul Ricard, we also see the return of the GT Open Cup Series for GT4 classed cars, so Street Art Racing will also be fielding their AMR Vantage GT4 for both Jayan Fazil- Karim and Julien Darras in these two races.

Again competing within the twelve strong Am Class, an opening Qualifying time from Bachman sees him starting today’s race from P5 in class.

Then back in the UK, we have just a solo Aston Martin Racing Vantage GT4 competing within this six-hour additional event to the season.

Returning to the series with their older, normally aspirated generation of GT4 sees Martin and Bill Addison team up with Tom Mendley within their #189 car for todays race. With Qualifying already completed, that car will start P6 within a mixed class grid of just twelve cars.

No full season BEC Aston Martins have elected to participate.
